
2022 Australian Short Course Swimming Championships
The 2022 Australian Short Course Championships will be held at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre over four action packed days from 24th – 27th August.
Heats starting at 10:00 am. Finals at 6:00 pm.
A Finals will be held for the top fastest swimmers in all 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m events.
Age Finals will be held for the top fastest Age Group swimmers (13 year old Girls or 14 year old Boys through to 18 years) in all 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m events.
B finals will be held for the next fastest 10 swimmers, regardless of age, for all 50m and 100m events – provided that at least 24 swimmers contest the heats.
800m and 1500m events are timed finals with the fastest seeded heat swum in the finals sessions.
Minimum age is 13 years for Girls or 14 years for Boys. Exception is with the MC Events where they can be 12 years and over. Age calculated as at 24 Aug 2022.
All Relay events are Timed Finals and will be contested in the evening finals session, with the exception of the 4x200m freestyle relay which will be contested in the morning heats on day 3.
MC swimmers need to check the MC Qualifying times which are available on the Swimming Australia website.
Please note that all Entry times must have been achieved since Friday, 1 January 2021 from a Short Course (25m) pool. If no time is available, then it will look at the Long Course (50m) times..
