UWA West Coast provides children and young people the opportunity to develop swimming skills.
Backstroke

PERFORMANCE NATIONAL SQUAD

This Squad is for competitive swimmers who are seeking to make finals or medal at Open/Age National Championships. Athletes complete individualised training programs where a very high level of commitment is required.

DEVELOPING NATIONAL SQUAD

Swimmers should have a clear understanding of what their goals are and will spend more time training for specific events and dryland strength training. This Squad is for competitive swimmers who are seeking to achieve qualifying times to compete at National Championships.

EMERGING NATIONAL SQUAD

Athletes need to be selected into the Emerging National. Coaches take into consideration a swimmers current level of ability, commitment, and capability of maintaining the level of training expected.
